Coffee House
2 min

A coffee bar, a string of lights and a stage in a backyard. People brought chairs, then blankets, then friends.
The idea was small enough to say in one line. Put a proper coffee bar outside, string lights over it, and give people a reason to sit down for a whole evening.
So there was a menu on the wall and someone behind it who knew what they were doing. Cortado, latte, cappuccino, matcha, hot chocolate. Cider and wine for anyone who wanted it. A long table of food that kept getting refilled all night.
By dusk the chairs were full and people had started bringing blankets onto the grass. Kids running between the tents. Families who came for an hour and were still there at the end.
Then the band started, and nobody left.
That was the whole point. Not a talk, not a program. A backyard, good coffee, live music, and enough time for the conversations that only happen when people stop looking at the door.
